Oil & Filter Change

More than an oil change

Every logbook service includes an engine oil and filter change, using the oil grade your manufacturer specifies. An oil change on its own keeps the engine protected, but a scheduled service also covers everything else listed for that interval, from brake fluid to filters, belts and lights. At our Dandenong workshop that means working through the 17-point inspection against your car's own schedule, which is due by time or kilometres, whichever comes first. Anything that doesn't meet spec is replaced or corrected before the car goes back to you, and the service is recorded in your logbook. That full list is what keeps your service history complete and your new-car warranty protected. The ACCC says a new-car warranty typically lets you use an independent repairer for servicing, as long as the manufacturer's maintenance and servicing standards are met, and a complete record also helps when you come to sell the car.

While the car is in, tyres and brakes are checked as part of the 17 points. If something needs attention, such as worn pads or tyres, our brake repairs and tyre services are handled in the same workshop.
