Many Audi models use an S tronic dual-clutch transmission (part of the same family as Volkswagen's DSG) or, on some older front-drive models, a Multitronic CVT. Both benefit from fluid and filter changes at the manufacturer's specified interval to help protect the mechatronic unit and clutch packs from premature wear.
Audi uses more than one quattro layout. Transverse-engine models such as the A3, S3, Q2 and Q3 use a Haldex-type coupling, and on those we check the coupling fluid as part of scheduled servicing. Longitudinal-engine models such as the A4, A6, Q5 and Q7 use a different all-wheel-drive layout, so we follow the schedule for your specific model.
TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines need oil that meets the Volkswagen Group approval listed for that engine, and we match the oil to it at every logbook service.
Will a service outside the Audi dealer network cover what the car needs? Audi Australia sets a scheduled service every 12 months or 15,000 km for its petrol and diesel models, whichever arrives first, while certain items keep their own timetable, such as brake fluid every 24 months. How Audi spaces out its services.
Audi Australia uses fixed intervals for its petrol and diesel cars: a scheduled service is due every 12 months or 15,000 km, whichever comes first, and the car displays a reminder when one is coming up. On the MY23 table, the oil change service sits on that 12-month cycle, while an inspection with oil change falls due every 24 months or 30,000 km. Fully electric e-tron models are on an inspection service every 24 months or 30,000 km.
Several parts run on their own clock, so a visit that looks routine can include extra work. From Audi's MY23 interval table:
- Brake fluid: every 24 months on all models, regardless of kilometres.
- Spark plugs on TFSI petrol engines: 60,000 km or 72 months.
- Toothed belt: 120,000 km on some engines, such as the 1.5 TFSI in the A3 and Q2 and the 2.0 TDI in the Q5.
Audi publishes a separate table for each model year, cars built before MY17 follow the printed service booklet, and Audi notes that usage and conditions can change the intervals. Bring your service book or last invoice when you book your logbook service.

No. Australian Consumer Law lets you use a workshop outside the dealer network, as long as the work follows Audi's schedule for your model year and uses suitable parts, including oil that meets the Volkswagen Group approval for the engine.
Do you handle Audi-specific specialist diagnostics or dealer warranty work?
We concentrate on Audi logbook servicing, S tronic and quattro checks, brakes, tyres and roadworthies. Warranty claims and complex specialist diagnosis are best taken to an Audi dealer.
Do you service S tronic or Multitronic transmissions?

Do you check the quattro system?
