Paintless Dent Removal in Dandenong
A car park ding or a dent in the door doesn't always need filler and paint. Where the paint is unbroken, we work the dent out from behind the panel so your car keeps its factory finish. Quotes are free.
How PDR Works
Reshaping the metal, not covering it
Car body panels are thin steel or aluminium with paint on top. A small dent pushes the metal in without always breaking that paint. Paintless dent removal reaches the back of the panel, often through an existing opening or by removing a trim, and pushes the dent out in many small, controlled movements while the technician reads the surface under a light board. Where the back can't be reached, the dent can be pulled from the outside instead. Done well, the panel returns to its shape and the original paint stays, so there's nothing to colour-match.
Good candidates
Car park dings, door dents, soft dents on a bonnet, roof or guard, and most hail dents, where the paint isn't cracked.
Usually not suitable
Sharp creases, stretched metal, dents on panel edges or body lines, and any dent where the paint is chipped or cracked.
When paint is needed
We repair the panel and refinish it in our own booth instead. See spray painting.
Lifetime workmanship warranty
Our panel and paint workmanship is covered while you own the car (new damage, wear and maker-warranty parts excluded).

Common Questions
Paintless dent removal questions
What is paintless dent removal?
Paintless dent removal (PDR) is a way of repairing dents by working the metal back into shape from behind the panel, or by pulling it from the outside, without filler or new paint. When it suits the dent, the car keeps its factory paint.
Which dents can be fixed without paint?
Dents where the paint isn't cracked or chipped and the metal hasn't been stretched too far: car park dings, door dents, soft dents from a ball or a knock, and most hail dents. Sharp creases, dents on a panel edge and damage with broken paint usually need panel repair and paint instead.
Is PDR cheaper than a respray?
Often, because there's no filler, primer or paint and less time in the booth. It depends on how many dents there are, their size and how easy the back of the panel is to reach. We quote after looking at the car, and quotes are free.
Will a PDR repair affect my car's value?
Keeping the original paint is one of the main reasons people choose PDR: the panel keeps its factory finish and there's no paint edge to spot. Where a dent can't be fixed this way, we tell you before starting.
Can I claim dent repairs on insurance?
You can, and we repair cars for customers of any insurance company. For one or two small dents, many owners pay privately because the quote is less than their excess. If another driver caused the damage, we can handle the claim against their insurer.
