Car Spray Painting in Dandenong

Paint is the part of a repair everyone sees. We paint in our own spray booth in Dandenong, match the colour to your car and blend it into the panels around the repair, with a lifetime warranty on the workmanship.

What We Paint

Paint work at our workshop

Most paint work follows a repair: a panel that's been straightened, a new bumper, or a door that was scraped in a car park. Good paint starts underneath. The surface has to be repaired, sanded and primed properly, or flaws show through the colour later. Because our panel beaters and painters work in the same building, the panel goes straight from repair to the booth.

Accident paint repairs

Panels repaired after a collision are painted and blended as part of the smash repair.

Bumpers and scratches

Scuffed bumpers, key scratches and car park scrapes. See bumper, dent and scratch repairs.

Replacement panels

New bonnets, guards, doors and bumpers are painted to match before they're fitted.

Hail and dent repairs

Where a dent can't be fixed without paint, we repair it and refinish the panel. See hail damage repair.

How It Works

From bare panel to finished paint

  1. Prepare. The damaged area is repaired, sanded smooth and cleaned, and the surrounding panels are masked.
  2. Prime. Primer seals the repair and gives the colour coat an even base.
  3. Match. The colour is matched to your car's paint code and checked against the paint on the car itself.
  4. Paint and blend. Colour and clear coat go on in the spray booth, and the colour is blended into the neighbouring panels.
  5. Finish and check. The paint is checked in good light for colour and finish before the car goes back together.

Insurance

Paid privately or through insurance

We repair and paint cars for customers of any insurance company. If another driver caused the damage, we handle the claim with their insurer as part of a not-at-fault claim. For small scratches, some owners pay privately instead of claiming; compare the free quote with your excess before you decide.

Common Questions

Spray painting questions, answered

Will the new paint match the rest of my car?

We match the colour to your car's paint code and to the actual paint on the car, which can change with age and sun. The new colour is then blended into the panels next to the repair, so there's no hard line where old paint meets new.

Do you paint in a proper spray booth?

Yes. Painting is done in our own spray booth at 5 Quinn Street, Dandenong, which keeps dust and debris out of the wet paint.

Is the paint covered by a warranty?

Yes. Our panel and paint workmanship has a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. It doesn't cover new damage, normal wear or parts covered by the maker's warranty. The full terms are on our terms page.

Can you paint a scratch without painting the whole panel?

It depends on how deep the scratch is and where it sits on the panel. A scratch that has gone through the paint needs the area repaired and painted, with the colour blended so the repair disappears into the panel. We'll tell you which repair it needs when we look at it.

Is the quote free?

Yes, quotes are free. Bring the car in, or call 03 8774 5785 to arrange a time.
